The Y’s Senior Fitness Program is designed to meet the needs of active older adults over 60 years of age who like to participate in-group exercises.
Our Senior gym class is a nationally recognized program called “Enhance Fitness”. Mild aerobic activities and exercises to develop your strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance are included to keep you active and healthy. Participants are encouraged to exercise at your own pace and ability. A doctor’s referral is required.
This class is sponsored by the Clinton County Office for the Aging and subsidized by the YMCA and the United Way. You do not have to be a member of the YMCA to participate. Donations are encouraged.

Senior Water Exercise Classes
Our Wednesday Senior Water Exercise class focuses on improving your range of motion, strength, and flexibility. All activity is done in shallow water.
A Water Walking class is a unique way to improve your balance, body alignment, and confidence by moving through the water using different steps and arm movements. This class is beneficial to those recovering from an accident or illness. The class is on Friday mornings.
Both the Wednesday and Friday Senior Exercise classes are sponsored by the Office for the Aging. Those who are not YMCA members are encouraged to make a donation.
