The Plattsburgh YMCA's new climbing wall is 21 feet high by 28 wide and can accommodate up to 6 climbers at one time. The lower section has a boulder traverse course to allow for horizontal climbing with three different levels of difficulty. The main wall has different color courses with varying difficulties. Specially designed mats are put in place to provide for a comfortable and safe climbing experience. The wall was developed and installed by the Everlast Climbing Wall Company. The climbing wall can included in any birthday party. Trained instructors are always present when the wall is in use. The climbing wall can also be rented by groups or individuals of any age. Times are set aside in the gym just for climbing by members or guests called "Climb Time".
