Welcome
Y Wee Care is an early education program designed to provide a warm, supportive atmosphere to ensure that each child has the personal attention and stimulation needed at each point in his or her development. Our program stresses enriching activities to help the child grow emotionally, socially, cognitively, and physically. Y Wee Care offers a well-rounded, fun, stimulating, and exciting time for a young child in a pleasant and caring environment. Because of our facility, we have the unique opportunity to offer a physical program of swim and gym.
Y Wee Care will generally follow the same school calendar as the public school systems. We begin school the first Monday after Labor Day in September and end on the Friday after Memorial Day. We are closed for two full weeks at Christmas. If the majority of area schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Y Wee Care program will also be canceled for that day.
Tuition
Tuition payments will be paid on a monthly basis and are due the first school day of each month. School costs are computed for a fixed enrollment over the entire year; therefore, the payment of tuition is required whether a pupil is present or absent. Holidays, short months, etc. are all taken into account and tuition is divided into nine equal monthly payments.
Registration
Students already enrolled in Y Wee Care have first chance for re-enrollment and first choice of classes offered. All others will be registered on a first come, first served basis.
There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee for YMCA members and a $35 non-refundable registration fee for non-members.

Swim & Gym
Our children participate in weekly half-hour swim classes. The five-morning class has two swim classes each week. Our goal is to help the children become comfortable in the water and to encourage them to become independent and attempt some swimming skills. The lessons are taught by the YMCA Aquatic Staff, but parents are encouraged to participate. Our classes change in the Family Changing Room.
Our children also enjoy one, half-hour weekly gym class. Our qualified instructors stress development of the following skills: listening, following directions, hand-to-eye coordination, movement to music, plus large and small muscle skills. We do exercise, dance, and play group games. All classes emphasize fun and safety.
We, the staff, always accompany the children in the pool area and the gym to enhance each child’s individual progress
