Many insurance companies, such as Excellus Blue Cross/Blue Shield. offer reimbursement for fitness and health center membership. Members of the Plattsburgh Chamber of Commerce joiner’s fees are waived.

Plattsburgh YMCA Scholarship Assistance Application
The YMCA provides financial assistance to all who qualify. Please keep in mind that this is an application and not a guarantee that you will be eligible for assistance.
Please follow the procedures listed below:
1. Download & Complete the Scholarship Application
2. Once you complete the application, a letter stating your reason for your request, and provide proof of income (which may include a copy of most recent federal income tax return or verification letter, most recent paycheck stubs unless you are unemployed, draw social security, or a full-time student, please provide a summary of your unemployment benefits, SSI paperwork, or financial aid benefits and student schedule), then submit all documents to the Y Front Desk.
3. If you qualify for assistance, you will receive a phone call stating the scholarship award.
4. Finally, if you chose to accept the award, come into the Y with photo ID to verify that you are ready to start your scholarship and your Y membership.
